New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by 193 runs in second Test

New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by 193 runs in the second Test at the Basin Reserve in Wellington on Wednesday to wrap up the series 2-0.


Set a target of 390 to win, Sri Lanka were all out for 196 with Lahiru Thirimanne not out 62 and Kaushal Silva scoring 50.

For New Zealand, Mark Craig took four for 53 while Trent Boult and Doug Bracewell took two wickets each.

New Zealand won the first Test in Christchurch by eight wickets. (AFP)
